Land Use - Chase Rankin

Land use is when humans change the land in the environment and alter it so they can use it for their own reasons. It is simply the management of the natural environment for any type of human use. Some things that humans use natural lands for can be farming fields, pastures and even habitats. I'm not saying that when humans alter the land it is terrible for the environment, but it definitely isn't too healthy for it. Although it isn't too healthy, humans use the land from the environment for numerous things besides agriculture. Some more uses that we utilize natural land for is recreation, transport, residential and commercial. These are all things that help the human race develop and grow substantially.

I think you did a very good job in this blog post! I agree that not all human land use is harmful and I think that is something that many people do not realize and should. The land that is being used as farm land is the same land that is feeding our mouths. This land is being used in a great way, though it may not be in perfect condition however, it is being used to help many other people. Like you said in the post this land is being used in other areas, I am excited to see what else our group learns throughout the semester. Thank you for the helpful post and reliable source!
ReplyDeleteI like how you made a clear definition of what land use is and I also like how you pointed out what types of land use there are.
