Technology- Jack Schiffhauer

Technology is described as a “double edged sword” to some. It is capable of doing and undoing damage to environmental quality. Most scientists see technology being used in the environment in four key areas, energy, climate, water quality and waste cleanup. The technology side of things for energy is easier to handle because to create energy you can use solar power, water or wind to create energy and it can be clean reusable energy. If we minimize the use of factories and plants and releasing their pollution into the air and have smaller factories or plants the amount of pollution will minimize in a big factor and help our climate out and the water quality because lots of plants and factories are polluting our water ways a lot.

  1. I liked how you identified the areas in which we are using technology in and how it is helpful and beneficial to us when make use of it in a correct and non-harmful way. I also liked how you identified problems like factories, plants, and pollution, and the negative impact they have on our environment. I also liked how you were able to identify the different ways we can minimize these problems to help maintain better climate and water quality.

  2. Yes if we did use more environmental healthy ways pollution would die down it’s just that some companies just don’t see anything, but a dollar sign on each product being used. No matter what though like you said technology can be a double edged sword and cause harm and help.
